Chuck: Hey Russ. I'm running 17/42 trimetal supersprox... there is a package deal a sprocketcenter.com. 42 rear is not great for highway. I would say gowith a 41 if you hit the highway (65+) at all. |

Im revamping the push rod seal with the 03 sv mod on your site. Is there any other seal I should replace along with this one while I am down there?
Chuck: YES. Do the final output shaft main seal as well -its the on th efront sprocket shaft. |

Hi Chuck do you of an easy way to attach an on/off light switch to the bike? Cheers for your advice
Chuck: It seems lots of folks want to do this to shut the headlight off while starting. I have been hesitant to do this because the headlights are a critical system IMO and I don't like messing with them.
I may put up a mod page for this if I get around to it. It would entail adding a relay in line with the headlight fuse that is controlled by starter power. So whenever the starter is engaged it powers the relay to disconnect the headlight. |

YOu modded the stock exhaust, I'm planning to do same but shorten it by about 6-7inch from your experience will that be practical to do? Cheers Phil
Chuck: Should be no problems shortening the stock can. Plan to weld the end cap on for the stainless piece to bolt on to. |

Just a quick question chuck. Are all the tlr swinging arms the same no matter what year the bike is? Regards Coco
Chuck: Yes all model year TL1000R swingers are the same. All model year TL1000S swingers are the same. R and S swingers are not interchangeable. |
