G`day,
Just done the airbox mod,(didnt do the cut tho)and removed associated ballast. While i was in there i had a look at the pair valve. It looks nothing like what are in your pictures,so i left it in place????????.Hmmmm.
How many TRE`s are there and is there a difference?.
Cheers,Tony.

Chuck: Hi Tony, Pair valve will be different based on your country. You can leave it, it won't hurt anything. There are a couple types of TRE. Active or semi-active TREs turn themselves off when the bike is in neutral and when the clutch is pulled in. This makes starting and idling in neutral easier. JRE and transistor based TREs are active TREs. You can make one from a resistor -this would be an inactive TRE. You can find more infor on how to make your own on my this site and on WOTID.com

Hi chuck. I have a 03 TLR the chain snapped on me going 115mph down the highway. Slave cylinder bolts are bent but the top bolt is broken off the case (its still on the screw). Will the bottom slave cylinder fix also work for the top bolt? The shops around here are trying to charge me 50-100 bucks to re-wield the broken piece back on. From my understanding the case and that piece is magnesium. It’s been a year since I have been on my bike! Please Help.

Chuck: Hi Jay, not sure if it will work for the top mount. You could try doing something silimar with the top sprocket cover screws. Also a cable clutch conversion might help

Hi Chuck,
I'm prepping my bike for the season and noticed hairline cracks all over the cush drive. I don't remember seeing them b4. Is this a problem?
BTW I live in RI. Hit me up if you want to ride. Thank you very much for the site.

Chuck: Hi Geoff, they are probably casting marks. If they are cracks replace it. Hit me up on the forums (chucks_net)

hey chuck. I have done a dyno test recently on my TLR, 99 model. the results were on HP 147 and on NM torque 151. I have only got BMC filter and performance exhausts. do you think that your airbox mod and TRE mod can up these readings. also do you think that a dyno yet powercomander will make a diff. I emailed some one at dynojet in the USA and this person said I wont get beter HP and torque readings without messing within the motor. and I dont want to touch my motor
hendrik@sws-yachts.com

Chuck: Hi Hendrik, yes the TRE and powercommander will increase HP.

hey chuck im doing the inline fuel filter mod on my 02 TLR and i got a fram g3515 filter but there aren't any directions arrows on it? how do u figure out which way to mount it? i keep reading in the forums how important it is to have the arrows facing the fuel rail and not the tank. thx for your help.

Chuck: usually if there are no indicators then it doesn't matter
