Hey Chuck, I did the inline fuel mod and used Gates 5/16" submersible fuel line (SAE30R10 @ 100PSI) which runs about $25/ft. I later found Parker 5/16" fuel line (SAE30R3 @ 300PSI) on desmotimes.com in their maintenance section for about $3/ft. Not rated as submersible but these guys are using it for years inside tanks without any problems.
Chris

Chuck: Hi Chris, good info -thanks

What kind of adhesive did you use for mounting that LED to your circuit board for the gauges? I'm a NOOB on circuit board assembly stuff. Thanks

Chuck: I just used contractor grade hot glue

Not what I recommend!
I use a inline fuel filter from BMW K-Series
reason its very cheap an can handle the flow of a 1000cc big twin
its a little tricky to mount, just fits below the airbox

Chuck: Hi Steve, I use the stock fuel filter. Fuel filtering will be more of an issue for the guys who keep their bikes outside

Hey Chuck! I have a TL1000R! MY BABY!!! :) I'm having cranking issues...it sounds like it wants to turn over so bad but won't... I have had someone check out the things you have said to previous comments and none of the above... except the tip over switch?? where is that? ok sounds crazy i know, lol but being female i like to have a heads up prior to going into the dealership to get things looked at or fixed... you know how it goes! Its sunny!!!! I wanna ride!! nice site!

Chuck: Hi Robin, you have to check the basics first. Start with new plugs... there are more hints in the FAQ section.

I have just a quick question... Do you know if wheels off a 2000 gsxr 750 fit the 2003 tlr?

Chuck: Yes, but I think some years require a custom spacer. You can find the answer if you search in the forums on TLPLanet, com or TLZone.net

hey chuck great site just did the air box mod and probably gonna do more from your page. Having problems getting it started i read about the tip over switch where is it located thanks

Chuck: Replace the plugs. Tip over switch (TOS) is a little black box under the drivers seat that mounts to the tanks hinge

I just followed your lead in changing my gauge cluster lights on my 99' TLR. I went red behind the speedo and blue behind the tach, and it looks great. Thanks Chuck

Chuck: Glad you like it
